Pain Physician — Family Medicine for Vaughan, ON.

Ref MDS-1405 Posted September 2026 ● Active opportunity · recruiter-verified

The Role

MDSearch is recruiting an experienced Pain Management Physician for an established practice in Vaughan, Ontario. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available, with established patient volume, fully equipped procedure rooms, and comprehensive support. Full-time earning potential is $800K–$1M+ annually after overhead.

You’ll provide comprehensive pain care: consultations, ongoing treatment and medication management, and interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, joint injections and epidurals, with fluoroscopy, ultrasound and a full support team on site. The clinic supports physicians in obtaining the Focused Practice designation in pain, so FHO referrals aren’t negated.

About the group

The Vaughan clinic is part of an established group of pain clinics in Ontario with a 7-year history. According to the employer, the group has had no CPSO investigations or complaints on record in that time. It is led by a physician who holds a current leadership role in the Ontario Medical Association’s Section on Chronic Pain, and its procedure clinics are CPSO-inspected out-of-hospital premises with passing inspection records. Strong referral demand and an established reputation are driving growth, and the group is now hiring at each of its sites.

About the Vaughan Clinic

Six physicians work here across family medicine (pain focus), anesthesiology and physiatry. Fluoroscopy, ultrasound and procedure rooms are on site, with nursing, technical, administrative and billing support. The clinic has an established referral base and sees about 30–40 follow-up patients a day.

Why Vaughan

Vaughan (population 323,000) is York Region’s fastest-growing city, just north of Toronto. Demand for pain care is high: one in five Canadians lives with chronic pain, and the median wait for specialized pain care is about 5½ months. Vaughan borders Toronto: downtown is about 40 minutes away by car or by subway from Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and Pearson Airport is about 20 minutes. It is a family-oriented city of larger homes, with a new hospital, York University next door and its School of Medicine opening in Vaughan in 2028, and the village of Kleinburg nearby.

Highlights

  • Full-time earnings of $800K–$1M+ a year after the 25% overhead, based on four clinical days a week; earnings scale with days worked
  • Fee-for-service
  • Full-time or part-time: flexible schedule of 1–5 days per week
  • Clinic hours Monday to Friday, 9 to 5
  • Patients and referrals waiting from day one
  • Relocation assistance and signing incentives may be considered

Who we’re looking for

Family physicians already practising pain management with procedural experience, eligible for CPSO registration in the appropriate scope. Physicians from across Canada are welcome. Those trained in the US, UK, Ireland or South Africa may be considered based on CPSO eligibility.

International applicants are welcome. If you are eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) to practise pain medicine, or expect to be, we would like to hear from you, and MDSearch can talk you through the licensing steps before you apply.

Group Locations

The group is hiring family physicians with a pain focus, anesthesiologists and physiatrists, full-time or part-time, at each of its clinics: Vaughan, Hamilton, Guelph, St. Catharines, Windsor and Brantford.
