This opportunity offers the ability to build a rewarding practice combining medical dermatology and medical aesthetics. You will diagnose and manage a wide range of common skin conditions while also providing cosmetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers, performing comprehensive facial assessments and delivering natural, patient-focused aesthetic outcomes.

Demand for medical dermatology services is exceptionally strong, allowing physicians to establish the medical portion of their practice within weeks, with ongoing support in developing a thriving aesthetic practice through established patient demand, marketing initiatives, and referral networks.

Schedule:​ Preferred availability of 3–5 days per week (in-clinic). Open to considering candidates with fewer available days for the right fit.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Licensed Family Physician in good standing with the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ)
• Recognized postgraduate training in Dermatology (e.g., University of Cardiff Diploma in Practical Dermatology or equivalent)
• Bilingual in English and French
• Certification and competency in aesthetic injectables, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers
• Strong understanding of facial anatomy and complication management
• Comfortable diagnosing and managing common dermatologic conditions
• Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
• Previous dermatology or aesthetic experience an asset; newly trained physicians meeting the qualifications are encouraged to apply

The Role

• Consultations are requested when additional specialist input is required regarding a patient's prescribed medical cannabis dosage and coverage considerations through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
• Independently assess the Veteran's mental health condition, review relevant clinical information, and provide a clinical opinion regarding the appropriateness of the current treatment plan and dosage.

Key Details

• Work Setting: 100% Virtual
• Schedule: Minimum 1 day (or 2 half days) per week, or equivalent of ~10 patients/week
• Patient Volume: ~3-4 patients/hour

Requirements

• Licensure required: Candidates must be licensed to practice in Quebec.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• Experience working with members of the military community preferred.
• Background in trauma-related mental health (PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.).
• Experience writing IMEs is an asset but not required.

Compensation

$500-$750 per IME.
